Capacity Assessor Training for Physicians

The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) is pleased to offer this two day professional development opportunity to physicians to further develop the skills required to complete decision making capacity assessments under the Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act (AGTA) and the Personal Directives Act (PDA). Following successful completion of the training you will be able to provide an opinion as to the adult’s capacity to make personal and /or financial decisions to determine the need for a substitute decision maker such as a guardian, trustee or co-decision maker or to enact a personal directive.

The training will be presented by the Office of the Public Guardian, two physicians and a legal respresentative.
